MEMORIES OF BUBBY
Rose you told me that anyone who met Bubby fell in love with him. I suspect that is the truth as people had wonderful memories of this special kitty which they share here. This page is not to grieve Bubby's passing but to celebrate his life.

I wanted to give you a page you could visit when you felt the need to remember and focus on the joy Bubby brought to your life.
CELEBRATING  BUBBY
Rose remember when we celebrated Bubby' s birthday? You invited several friends to stop by and see him and have cake and ice cream.  My wife said that she was going by on her way home from work and asked me if I was planning to stop by. I told her yes, at which point she informed me that she had already bought Bubby's present, and that I needn't bother, because I couldn't top her gift anyway.

Well, I did stop by, and yep, I brought my own gift. Needless to say, it was the "hit of the party". It was a stuffed whale approximately 12" long, and both Bubby and Baxter went WILD over my gift.  I told you that I thought Bubby might like something a little "fishy".

What I didn't tell you (until you admitted that Bubby liked my gift better) was that I also bought a bag of Catnip and poured it in the bag with the whale, and shook vigorously! Then I got rid of the Catnip and put the whale in a new bag.

Now you know the rest of the story!

Rose I would love to write a story about Bubby but I never had the pleasure of meeting him. I felt like I knew him through your email and pictures and the picture of Bubby in the sink is my favorite. He was lucky to have chosen you to be his mom

Dear Rose,
I can remember when you just had Bubby and he was such a "loving baby."  Some times he would be in the window perch, sometimes in the sunshine at the door or maybe just sleeping on your bed.  He was always so pleasant. I can't help it but I am partial to Black Kitties.  I love them all but there is something that always attact me more to them.  That was the way with Bubby, don't get me wrong I think Baxter is the greatest but I always favored Bubby.

Rose,

I have such fond, loving memories of Bubby. He gave me such joy every time I came to visit. I am thankful for those happy memories of Bubby looking up at me and saying "I love you Aunt Celeste."

Remember when I would give him his long massages? He would roll over and say with his bright shining green eyes, "Aunt Celeste, rub my belly somemore, that's not enough!" Bubby should have been a greeter at church because anytime someone came to visit, he would always welcome them into his home.  He always brought a smile to my face and abundant joy to my heart.

Hi Rose:
I remember the first time I noticed the calendar on the wall above your desk.
It had a picture of Bubby
I took it down and looked at every month and saw not only Bubby, there was Baxter, The Kapicak's cat and the Carroll's cat.

I thought that was so cool.

Hi Rose,

Remember when Doogie and i stopped by your house to visit and it was the first time Bubby and Doogie met? All was going so well, they touched noses and met very politely.

Bubby walked away turned around and came back and popped my baby right in the jaw!

The look on Doogie's face was priceless. I know if he could talk he would have said "MOM what happened"? I know you thought it was hilarious.

Rose I always smile when I think of this story.
One day, when my boy Johnny was very little, he was at your house pondering the pictures.  Among the many pictures adorning your walls are pictures of your family, your special boy, Benjamin (a very handsome young man these days!) and of course your four legged family members: Bubby Benjamin, Megan, Baxter Dean, Snuffles and others as well.

My Johnny had apparently asked about the photos and who was in  each of them, and you told him about Bubby, Benjamin (cat) and Benjamin (very much a person).

Apparently he was just a  bit perplexed because he pointed to the picture of Benjamin and asked
"Is that Bubby Benjamin when he was a human?"

Hi Rose:

Just want you to know that many people are thinking of you at this time and keeping you in their hearts and prayers.

There are lots of little kitties out there right now just "meowing" your name.

Rose,

Isn't is wonderful as we go through life that there are some things that leave us with only warm, wonderful memories. All your memories of that fat, black cat are warm, fuzzy memories
