You will be as impressed as I was to see the work Mary manages to fit into a 24 hour day. Along with her husband Chris, they have Jollity Farm in Cornwall, England and support Cornwalls Voice for Animals (CVFA)
So settle in for some interesting reading.
FriendsThe Field
There is a field in Cornwall
Where animals spend their life
It`s looked after by a carpenter
And he is assisted by his wife
A similar story was written
But this man did not use a field
He built himself "An Ark"
Both these men have a true belief
That animals need their care
And the world should just be thankful
That there are men like this out there

"We are not a registered charity - we are just two individuals who do what we can to take in those animals who are in need of sanctuary and we give to them all the love, food and safe housing that they require - for their lifetimes"

Sir Alfred William James Pollard
Our first inductee into the Hero Hall of Fame is Mary Alice Pollard.
I chose Mary to start off our HERO section because I was overwhelmed at what she is doing. Mary lives in England and maintains a farm to help varying species of God's animals. A photographer by trade and a Hero by choice
Alfy, a puppy Mary rescued after observing him being abused is the inspiration for "What's It All About Alfy" a wonderful book written by Mary.
Unfortunately Mary lost Alfy earlier this year. We send our heartfelt condolences on this sad loss.

Cara, a young, cute, friendly, foxy dog desperately seeks help in Calabria, the far south of Italy. Abandoned and scrounging food, walking the streets in the hope of ransacking bins, being shouted at, threatened and almost certainly beaten, for some two years, Cara's life was tough.
There is an offer of a fantastic home for life for her at Jollity Farm. It would be a dream come true if Cara could somehow go there.
Click on Caras picture to read her story of survival and how you might be able to help bring some happiness into this precious animals life who deserves so much more than what she has experienced so far.
